I've played male characters before, but I wanted to make something that felt very honest and grounded, and especially with the wig and the eyebrows, the posture and the slight dropping of my voice, I felt like I could really disappear into this little dude. And as I was coming up with the character and developing him, it was just really making me laugh. NASIM PEDRAD: 'Serious question: Why?' I knew to create my own show as the showrunner, writer, producer, actor, that would obviously be a big undertaking, and so I really wanted to create something I knew I could have a lot of fun playing.
